Checklist

During the 1970’s, “Ten Ten” had been held four times. Three times, it had taken place at one of the participating artists’ house. In our exhibition, we presented photographic documentation, which Koji Enokura, one of the participating artists at the time, had produced himself while the exhibition had been held at his house in Setagaya, Tokyo.

Biography

1942 Born in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo
1968 Graduated with MFA from the Oil Painting Department of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music (now Tokyo Geijutsu Daigaku, Tokyo University of the Arts)
1969 Held first solo exhibition at Tsubaki-Kindai Gallery.
1970 Presented an installation work at “The 10th Tokyo Biennale ’70 ‘Between Man and Matter’”
1971 Received the Scholarship Award at “The 7th Paris Youth Biennale”and stayed in Paris for one year.
1975 Started teaching at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
1978 Participated in the “Venice Biennale” in 1978 and 1980.
1992 Became a director of the Photography Center at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
1994 Exhibition at The National Museum of Art, Osaka
Exhibition at Kawaguchi Museum of Contemporary Art
1995 Exhibition at The Museum of Fine Arts, Gifu
Passed away at the age of 52 during his tenure as Professor of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
