VESUVIO Project 1972

“Operation Vesuvio” was held at Il Centro Gallery in Naples and Minami Gallery in Tokyo. About 20 domestic and international artists had joined this project in September, 1972.

At Minami Gallery, Koji Enokura, Tatsuo Kawaguchi, Kishio Suga, Jiro Takamatsu, Katsuro Yoshida and Lee U-Fan had presented their works.

While Koji Enokura had presented print works and photographic works using lump of lead at the time. Those photographic works were also exhibited at “72 Artists Today Exhibition” in October 1972.

Tokyo Publishing House presented a reproduction of 《VESUVIO Project 1》utilizing 7 images similar to those that had been exhibited at “Operation Vesuvio.” At the same time, we presented photographic works that had been exhibited at “72 Artists Today Exhibition”, and its related works.

“Operation Vesuvio”

“Operation Vesuvio” was held at Minami Gallery (Tokyo) from 9.20 to 9.30, 1972, and Il Centro Gallery (Naples) in November, 1972.

《VESUVIO Project 1》（1972／monochrome print, paper／73×103cm）and《VESUVIO Project 2》（1972／silkscreen, oil,／約73×103cm）were presented at the exhibitions.
In our exhibition, we presented a reproduction of 《VESUVIO Project 1》utilizing 7 images similar to those that had been exhibited at “Operation Vesuvio.”

“72 Artists Today Exhibition”

“72 Artists Today Exhibition” was held at Yokohama Civic Art Gallery from 10.29 to 11.9, 1972.

At "72 Artists Today Exhibition”, the following seven works were presented.
In this exhibition we also presented a work(*) which photographed around the same time.
