Albert Renger-Patzsch

1897 Born on June 22, Würzburg, Germany Introduced to the fundamentals of photography by his father, a professional musician and a serious amateur photographer
1919 Started studying Chemistry at the Dresden University of Technology
1920 - 1922 In exchange with the Karl Ernst Osthaus circle in Hagen, appointed director of the picture archive at the Folkwang publishing house in Hagen
1925 Published his first monograph “Das Chorgestühl von Kappenberg” (The Choir Stalls of Cappenberg Monastery), moved to Bad Harzburg and opened his studio, where he mounted his first exhibition
